Hi there! Welcome to RPA (RoleplayAnimals), if you have never role played before or not sure where to start, you can come here!
How to role play:
First of all, you must think of a character, or at least have an idea of that animal you want to role play as. Then you have a look for a thread that has something to do with your character. If there isn't one you can make your own! Say you joined someones role play, and they have agreed to let you role play with them, you can write up your character sheet.
Example:
Name: Pinkcookie
gender: female
species: cat
Looks: pink with white paws
Personality: snobby, nasty, attention-seeking
You can make it as descriptive as you like, or if you not good with describing you can post a picture.
After than you can begin to role play. Say you had to start first, you could start by saying where your character is and what it is feeling.
Example:
Pinkcookie sat by her humans bed with her tail curled around her white paws. She felt left out and wanted her human to come and return its attention to her.
When you meet the other role player you can talk to each other. As you normally would you would use speech marks to start and end speech.
However, if you wanted to create your own thread you would have to think of a name and a plot and what it would be about. You could also add rules specific to your role play. So, you would think of a plot, think of your own character and think of a setting. Then you wait for people to join and just role play like shown above.
